In summer 2025, I had the privilege of joining the paints team at the Pacific Conservatory Theatre as an intern. Along with three fellow interns, our shop supervisor, and our scenic charge, I was able to contribute thousands of brushstrokes to this gorgeous set for Holmes and Watson. In addition to lots of grunge, distressing, stone, cement, and window treatments, my favorite project for this set was the grand spiral staircase. I was lucky enough to be allowed to do the wood base and grain entirely by myself before the rest of the team stepped in for further distressing and weathering treatments.
