For my second show as an intern with the Pacific Conservatory Theatre, the theme was wood, wood, and more wood. Our paints team executed several different varieties of wood treatments to distinguish between the different levels of wealth and prestige enjoyed by the various colorful characters in Something Rotten, ranging from a banged-up bench for the destitute Bottom brothers to an anachronistic festival stage for studly rockstar William Shakespeare. I also got to work on an absolutely massive drop for this show, which was a challenge and a delight. Keep scrolling for more photos of the team at work and the gorgeous production, courtesy of PCPA.
