An “off-the-menu” production at the Theatre Company of Bryan-College Station, this set reuses the bones of its predecessor to tell a new story with an astonishingly quick turnaround time. In the case of Who’s Holiday, we transformed the elegant Banks house from Mary Poppins into a messy trailer fit for a drunken Who in under two weeks. Since Who’s Holiday is an annual tradition at TTC, we inherited a few pieces of painted furniture and curved walls from past productions but felt it was time to give them a refresh for the new year. Inspired by retro wooden airstream interiors, we repainted what used to be the Banks house wallpaper with colorful vertical wood planks, rendered in a cartoonish, Seussian style to match the existing furniture pieces.
